need under sink effective H20 filter...which brand is compact and tops? thanks?

The Pur water filter is rated highly and they've been around for a long time.

Instead of an under sink point-of-use filter, you may want to look into a whole house filter. They don't cost that much more and you would have better water in every faucet and shower. They're also in the plumbing section with the point-of-use ones you're looking at.
