Bowl Championship System

Controversy because at the end of the year, there are always more then two teams that deserve a shot at the national title.

Should stay the way it is because, well most analysts use the reason of this way every game counts. One loss, you are more then likely not going to get in. Two losses you are out 99.9% of the time. That is unlike any other sports system in the any sport.

Should be eliminated because it doesn't always have the correct two teams in the championship game, subjective though, and some teams play different at the end of the year then in the beginning so you don't always have the best teams up in the polls.

Alternative would probably be a playoff system. More then likely the top 8 teams in the polls have a one and out playoffs. 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 and then continue until you got a championship.

BCS is a computerization program that also have human interaction from sports writers around America. The computerization looks at wis but strenth of the win. They is a spread differential that is counted. Example whe USC lost to Oregon they drop down to 7. When Florida won against South Carolina which Steve Spurrier had the inside track -- all other polls rated Florida two spots higher, but the win was not pretty so they push them from being in third place and move uSC up 3 spots because they had an impressive win that week. Going forward you want to looked at who has beat who is the topten... Because if they defeat someone that their competition has lost to it will bump the neutral team up. USC is the most vulnberable because they lost to Oregon and Beat Arkansas, which beat LSU, and who play Florida in the SEC Championship.

The BCS, or Bowl Championship Series, was implemented a few years ago to give a better answer than previously available to the question: which was the best college football team this season? There are various flaws in the way it is done, but I think on balance it makes some sense.
