Ignoring them is probably the absolute best answer. As a truck driver I usually wave at them and smile, then you can really see their blood pressure rise sometimes. These people are really true idiots! A kind return gesture isn't expected at all, being nice really sets their a** on fire sometimes. I get a really good laugh!!

Out in Brantford I come apon two women sitting at a green light putting on their seat belts and that is something that should have been done before they entered the roadway. And so the light is green for 7 seconds and I tap the horn once so she can realize that the light is green and time to move. I get the finger and I get it a second time to make certain I saw her first gesture. So down the single lane we go were it is 80 kilometers an hour but she is going well below that to further annoy me so I figure if I go to pass her she will speed up and create a dangerous situation were I'm on the wrong side of the road. Her giving me the finger for something she did wrong was kinda odd behaviour but I knew she was trying to bait me by driving way below the limit with an empty road in front of her wanting me to pass her and like I said she probably would have sped up or yelled an obscenity as I passed her. Finally I came to my turn and she went strait on.

First instinct is to do it right back to them. But there's too many nutjobs in the world today. They could hurt you. If I get the finger or the horn from my own mistake, then I do the apologetic hand thing & mouth the word sorry. There should be a universal sign for that.

I continually force barefoot even as i'm driving a guide, in view that i won't be able to apply the seize with turn flops. If its an computerized automobile, now and again i force with turn flops, yet in many cases if i am going to slip them off and force barefoot

Considering the nuts who drive nowadays you probably should just avoid it. Maybe they are looking for a fight? Maybe they had a bad day? Who knows? It can be dangerous to agitate another driver. Remember they might have a shot gun. Or even deadlier, their car ramming into yours!

Definitely flip them back the bird and pretend to freak out. Then to show you mean business, fly up behind them making sure to tailgate them and start to stalk them. This really intimidates drivers. They regret that they ever gave you the finger as they start shaking in their seats. After about 10 minutes or so, feel free to abandon the chase because you've won. If the other driver tries to lose you, you know they're about to soil their pants.

Shoot them and get your retaliation in first.
That anyone could even think this is worth asking says a lot about lack of courtesy on the road.
