Ok just a year ago you meet a girl that didn't care about her appearance, never wore makeup, always let her hair be messy or decent, didn't care what she wore and skipped a couple days of showering.

Couple years later you meet her again and she's so much more beautiful, she wears her contacts, she wears little makeup and has her hair all nice and stylish, she feels and believes she's gorgeous. She's more outgoing and friendlier.

She's never had a boyfriend or anything.

So could it be she has more confidence in herself or what? Oh and she makes sure she takes a shower everyday and her teeth are cleaner. She looks more fit too.

If it's not confidence then what is it? And no she's never been to the psych ward if you think that.

Sounds like she went off to boot camp and a drill sergeant taught her to wash her ***.

Well you left out a good bit of information. Sometimes people are ill or even have clinical depression, which is also an illness. She may have been going through a rough time, or suffering a loss. Perhaps her priorities were not on her appearance.

My own appearance changes quite dramatically at times depending on what I am involved in, although I must say that I am always clean. But there are times I am not focused on my appearance, for many different reasons.

Enjoy the change.

Peace.

She made a decision to change her way of being. Taking better care of herself, probably cares more for herself.

Someone pointed out how beautiful she really is or she found herself finally it happens to many people. They grow up and realize their childish ways have to put away and now it's time to really play.

Increases in self-esteem can come from lots of places - and this certainly sounds like what has happened.

Sounds like she may have been suffering from depression and has done a fine job of getting through it.

She cares more about what others think of her, and she possibly wants a boyfriend or more friends.
