Yesterday, I went to TOYUZA SPRINGS. It was advertised as a beautiful hot spring resort. When I got there it a more like a cess pool in the middle of a squatters area.

I"m an American living in the Philippines. I lived in Leyte for 18 years then moved to Cebu City. You can"t judge the country by one bad experience. And the other people that answered the question have a little more patience and explain how beautiful the Philippines really is.

Based on your complaint, it is more of an advertisement problem. I highly recommend you file a complaint to the Department of Tourism (http://www.tourism.gov.ph) so they could check the establishment if they have tourism accreditation. You should make sure next time that the establishment or resort has tourism accreditation to assure you that it is at least within government standards. Also research before hand about the area you are going to. I know its too late but I hope my suggestion will help you and others not to fall to this unscrupulous establishments.

Well, there are lots of resorts and hot springs here. But if you are looking for the cheapest ones, that's the kind you will find. If you looked for the best, you must pay everything... convenience, ambiance, oh, the totality of the beautiful place you want to stay.

You just went to one place and you think all places are like that? I've never heard of that place. You should have gone to Boracay, Palawan and the Amanpulo hotel (place where celebrities go) and yes they're all in the Philippines. -spend more money if you want the best places.

Please dont generalize Filipinos! Dont blame the whole country for the mistake of 1 person. There are better things to see in the Philippines! Why dont you go to the more famous places. You have the option of seing first a place, if you dont want it, then transfer to other places!

Try the first class places like Boracay, etc. Toyuza is not even at par with them because it is an unknown place to the majority. If you can't afford it, then there is Baguio or Palawan. But i guess, you can't afford them too.

I'm a Filipino and I never heard of that place. Maybe you should check-out the more popular ones like Boracay, Palawan, etc.

It's not nice to generalize people just because one of them gave you a bad experience. Please contemplate on this.
