i had the same problem.then i decided to rent a machine and clean it myself instead of paying for professional service that was 90% ineffective.rent the machine, throw 2 cups of household ammonia into the water and make sure the carpet is saturated(this means for every saturation you will need to suck the water out 2 or 3 times,a shop vac really works great too)as the water gets really dirty, change it.ammonia can be found in with cleaning products in the grocery and you will need to open windows for ventilation.MY CARPETS WERE BEIGE AGAIN,it was amazing and the ammonia only cost me 99cents as opposed to 15 dollars for the stuff they sell with the machine.this also worked like a charm on my tan sectional sofa.good luck.

Sorry... hire a cleansing gadget - £24.50 for an afternoon or £forty for a weekend. Its not often a luxury seeing you may only could desire to do it as quickly as each year or so - a luxury could be procuring a sparkling carpet! Everyones carpet ought to be moist washed in some unspecified time interior the destiny... the alternative could be spending £10-20 on diverse carpet cleansing suggestions, adequate to hide the finished floor, and actually scrubbing each inch. Then drying it. Then redoing over any stubborn bits.

Some colors I remember from the "business" cast shadows. We used a straw broom, after vacuuming, or steaming when dried, and "broomed" the carpet one way to keep the shadows down for prospective clients. Try it.

You might have to go over it a few times with a steam cleaner.
