I've been fortunate enough to be born into a very wealthy family and i have amazing friends too. I like to travel and try new things like yachting and sports and stuff but i'm having a real problem finding people that do the same thing. I'm 18 and ALL of my friends are in college (so am i) but they do nothing but work or stay at their homes. I know its expensive to do my activities but I can't find many people that would be willing to catch the next flight to Australia with me or spend the weekend in an entirely different place. I'm also not willing to pay for ppl because then i feel like i'm being used. I find my life very monotonous AND i only want to hang out with people that are around my age not some 30 yr old loser

A trip to Australia would be very refreshing.

I didn't read any of the other answers, but you just seem really stuck up. Good luck finding 18 year-olds who can jump on a jet when they feel like it. You go on and on about what you have and what you do. Are you sure you have friends that even if you offered, they would go with you? You say you wouldn't pay for your pals, have they ever asked? If not then they would not use you. Having money doesn't mean anything. Be a friend first.

Know what u talking about .I had he same problem when i was younger. What i did i went on my own works too at least for sometimes.Otherwise it is not really that easy to find someone else that will share the same interests with you .To the outside world looks kinda like that they mostly don't understand it but i know what u talking about my solution again find u a bf that would like to share those activity's with u ,and also try to maybe go one step lower.Instead of Australia go to Florida or Hawaii.Oh well for more question u got my chatname

Have you joined any clubs that would allow you to explore your interests with others? Can you take some vacations and meet people similar to you? Can you find simpler activities to enjoy -try to relate to those around you.

I am curious though, why would you feel used when you give to others?
