I have no idea but it would be a great place to bounce off the walls. Plus it would give a new look to the place. Good luck

No, bubble wrap won't soundproof your room.

There are a lot of things you can do. For instance, full-length draperies would help, a popcorn ceiling, carpeting on the floor, but the really effective things can't be done after the fact.

Sound waves love things that are symmetrical and reflective. We soundproofed our band's practice space and put up drywall so that the walls weren't parallel. We had a trapezoid pattern (like a bay window). We also had insulation behind the drywall we put up.

Perhaps you should just look into noise canceling headphones instead of remodeling. They get rid of a lot of ambient noise, but you aren't cut off completely and could still hear a phone ring, etc. That's what a lot of people use when they fly on airplanes and they are very effective.

1) No protection is needed for popping bubble wrap unless around hard objects where a bike helmet is needed. 2) You should get to know the bubble wrap first. Don't be inconsiderate to it. See a nice action flick and go get some Italian food. 3) Maybe pop a few at a time, ask it how it's doing, then give it time to adjust. When the bubble wrap is ready again, you may begin. 4) Oh, definitely say yes. As you know, bubble wrap is very sensitive. Any negative remarks may hurt both the bubble wrap's feelings and your relationship.

Bubble wrap is combustible and if it catches fire you could be hurt and i it is nigh fire you might loose you house not mentioning life. Same applies to other type of insulation like egg crates. To sound proof i would use fire resistance cork rolls.
Flexible and tough, these cork rolls are perfect for craft and hobby projects. They can also be used for insulation, soundproofing, lining shelves, and for constructing cork boards.
Each roll is 24 in. x 48 in. x 1/8 in. thick. You can install 2 layers for better soundproofing if you wish. Made from natural cork, the rolls are environmentally friendly. Cover cork with wall paper.

I don't know if bubble wrap would work ,but I know foam will, the egg crate type. This guy I knew was in a band and he played the drums, neibors called the cops all the time so he put egg crate foam all around his walls and door, even the windows, filled in the cracks and it was pretty much sound proof.Cops never came back out.

No,Bubble wrap is not your solution. It will only bring you more problems such as Moisture. You need to purchase sound proof panelling at your local hardware store. Do it the right way, the cheap way always causes you grief and problems in the long run. Have fun in your sound proof office.

If you don't have the room finished yet with drywall just insulate the walls with fiberglass roll insulation or better yet spray in foam. Foam on the walls would help. Bubblewrap might some, but not really. If you use foam on the walls get fire retardent closed cell foam.

Well yes.. it would help soundproof the room but it would look crappy.... It would be cheaper, however, than putting up acoustic squares over the ceiling and sides of the room

I think the key word in your question is "cheap".
Bubble rap may be cheap and and easy to work with but ineffective in keeping noise out.
There are alternatives that cost more and work well. Please read the pages in the link below, I think you will find them helpful and informative for choices only you can make.
Be fire safe whatever you decide on.

In the late 80's - I'm dating myself slightly. Garage bands used to use two items. One was the large carpet tile squares that stick (I guess you could use large pieces of carpet), but the squares have a FOAM backing and then over that was egg cartons made from PAPER. I hope this helps. - REDD

No It would be very ineffective, the most cost effective materials to deaden sound are also the same materials used to insulate your home you might want to look into white Styrofoam panels available at building supply stores.
