I actually have two methods I use.

My first way to stop creasing is by applying my concealer to my eyelid. I have to keep my eyelid closed for about 30 to 45 seconds to allow the concealer time try dry, otherwise that will crease. This creates something for the eyeshadow to stick to.

For my second method, I use a product made to stop creasing. Prescriptives sells an eyeshadow base called "Moonbeams". I buy the color called Zodiac Beige. It has a slight shimmer to it and enhances teh way my eyeshadow looks. This products cost $16.00.

I've had problems with creasing the last several years, and thought I had tried everything without any luck (including Benefit, Bliss, Paula Dorf, concealer, powder, etc). Recently a salesperson recommended Guerlain's Divinora Protective Base for the Eyelids, which has been absolutely life-changing! No more creases AT ALL during the day. In fact, the other night I accidentally slept in my makeup and it still looked good the next morning! You can find it online for about $24 which seems like a lot to pay but I bet the little tub would last about 6 months (you don't need to use a lot).

Here's the product pitch from the Guerlain website:

A soft, supple and transparent cream texture to shade and to smooth on the whole eyelid and on the arch of the eyebrow to unify the eyelid and prepare the eye make-up. But its effect goes further : its anti – dehydrating formula creates a protective film on the eyelid and gives comfort all the day long.

i cannt stress enought how important n functional an eyeshadow base is. Not only do the make the colours more outstanding, but they also help them last longer. i use the Sephora Piink Fixing Base which is the best thing EVER but sadly it has been discontinued (frm what i know atleast) apart from that, one which almost every other makeup crazy girl would use.. The Urban Decay Potion Primer There shouldnt be a need to use a base for cream e/s as cream eyeshadows r normally longer lasting, tho they do tend to crease. Perhaps you have oily skin, or lids. What you can do to help with the cream eyeshadow, is to pat some loose powder on ur lids so they are not as oily.

There are actually eye primers and they work very well to make shadow last all day and not crease. My favorite is called f.y.eye by Benefit. It costs about $20. It has anti-perspirant to keep your shadow on so even those with oily eyelids can wear shadow all day long.

Mary Kay offers an Eye Primer. It helps prevent creasing and keeps the color from disappearing.

Eyeshadow creases because of sweat from your skin, mainly, so try waterproof eyeshadow and see if it makes any difference.
