what does a dung beetle smell like? would you eat a few if your life counted on it?

Honestly its hard to explain the smell, close to rancid. I have eaten more than few dipped in chocolate.

Sure I would eat it, if I had to. I saw a dung beetle once, near a cow pasture in Florida. They roll balls of dung with their hind legs. It was cute, and it didn't smell bad at all ... but the ball of dung it was rolling, that was pretty rank.
