I have mild cramping for about a week now and am 3 days late from my period. I have no other symptoms other than the cramping and frequent urination? I took a hpt earlier tonight and was neg. does this still mean i could be preggo?? Is it still possibly too early to test???

Some people take a long time for Hcg to show up. Keep testing every few days. If your ovulation time was delayed that will mean that implantation will be delayed and that will delay the Hcg from showing up in your urine. I can tell you though, that cramping was my first pregnancy sign. It would come and go, along with back pain, enlarged nipples and frequent urination. Good luck.

Unless you tested with an early detection test, you have to be 5 days late for it to be accurate. Also, you can possibly be miscarrying. The average female miscarries 30+ times in her lifetime. It would feel just like a heavy period, with a little more severe symptoms. Also, even if you do get your period, I would retest after a week or so, because you can still be preg and get an irregular period (i.e. late). Hope I didn't freak you out, just trying to keep you informed.

You very well could still be pregnant. It takes some time for the hormones to build up enough in your system to be high enough to register on HPT's. Wait a couple of days and try again.
