In order to persuade you need to take a side. There are two sides, to each argument, neither is ever perfect. In order to persuade you take the side you think is the strongest. You can acknowledge the other sides strong points but weigh them against your strong points. Just remember there are three elements of persuasion, Logic, Identification and Emotion.
