The Virgin Mary and Mary Magdelen.
i dont know the whole facts of the Bible( didnt grow up religious) but the movie kinda confused me. The people at school fought with me because I thought they were saying Virgin Mary Is Mary Magdalen. Who's who? are you able to clear this up? Was Virgin Mary pregnant from Jesus? Isnt that her son?

In Chatolics, Virgin Mary is Jesus mom, who gave birth to Jesus, but Mary Magdalen is Jesus follower (if I'm not wrong), but I said to you, don't get confused of watching that movie, it's just a story, not the real one, just read the Holy Bible, you'll find the truth there...

Yes the Virgin Mary is supposedly Jesus's mother and Mary Magdelen one of his avid followers, like they said in the movie, she supposedly wrote testaments/teachings.

yes Virgin Mary was Jesus mother (she was filled by the holy spirit and that's how Jesus was conceived). Mary Magdelene was Jesus only female disciple...(she was a prostitute who was about to be stoned to death by the scibes and pharisees but Jesus stopped them by saying 'if you know u have not committed any sin, cast the first so' so everyone disappeared and she gave her life to God and became a disciple)

the virgin mary is Jesus's mother, Mary Magdalen was a prostitute who was one of his followers, one of his inner circle. her role was greatly diminished when the bible was rewritten to give men total control of religious life.

I think Jesus doesn't have any generation since he was dead at the age of 25, and Mary Magdelen was raped by other peopple but saved by Jesus so technically it isn't Jesus' generation.

#2And the Virgin Mary was the one that was pregent with Jesus... so yeah that's her son.
#3I'm from a very religious family, and we're all agenst that movie... I'm not even aloud to see it!! and all of my friends said it was a really good movie!!!!! :( and it's no fair because I'm 14!!

Arghh I can't remember now lol, but my friend who is extremelly nutso religious was explaining it to me yesterday. Because I was confused too. There's 2 different Mary's but argh I wish I knew what she had told me now.

No, they are two separate people. Mary was His mother, and Mary Madgalene was supposedly His wife.
