Obviously you people never heard of supply and demand. Instead of bashing on people who actually have money to purchase this console, you should study Economics and learn something. Thumbs down to all of the ignorant answers...

Looks like the real eBay price is $1,300 -- double retail -- and that seems to be $1,230 the 2nd day. Should be under $700 by week's end. And, watch the stores discover an "undiscovered" inventory of PS3 the week leading up to December 25. It's all a reflection of what Christmas means in our era.

PS3 Graphics have advanced farther than the other consoles and even that new Nintendo Wii. There is also a LIMITED amount of PS3, and not every one or every family could have one. Because there is so little, and so many people want it, people are selling them for thousands on ebay.

Well that's easy- they're just dumb enough to waste all their money on something they could save a ton on if they just waited for a couple of weeks. Kind of like a credit card, some people don't think about how much money they are really spending until they are in debt. Also, some people are rich and spoiled and don't care about wasting money.

They are despret, lonley people, that do not have much of a social life. I personaly do not get it, if the unit costs $600 why pay $3000 just to get it early?

they are stupid, just wait until more ps3's are in shipment and buy it when the price has settled and they fix all the bugs that might be in the system

'cause they don't have a life, they don't think it will have bugs, it has a lot of features... there are quite good arguments on both sides of the line. But i still think it's a waste of money.
