I like a lot of different kinds of music, even though my favorite is contemporary Christian music. I also like the music of the BIg Band Era, as well as the Easy Listening stuff like Johnny Mathis and such. I grew up during the 60's & 70's, so I like a lot of that stuff too (Three Dog Night, Moody Blues, ELO and Chicago). There are a few that make me grind my teeth though. And that would be opera. And any songs that have nasty language. And whiney country songs. And polka. I've learned two things about music. One is that you can run into trouble if you start picking on someones' music. And two is that music is as personal as body odor. Some stinks worse than others, and is in the nose (or ears) of the beholder. <*)))><

Yup... I'm mostly a rock/classical/jazz but I like songs/artists from all different genres :)
I'm glad there are people like you. Being openminded is important. Many people say they dislike a type of music just because they hear a few songs that they don't like from that type. And some people just don't give it a chance. This is especially important if you're a musician. A good musician can take in different kinds of music and appreciate the background from which it came from, as well as being flexible in playing style.

no I like most music from christian, opera, bluegrass, sone of old style rap. I don't like this new style rap nor do I like this hip hop that they call top 40. I am open to most music. I like lite rock as well as heavy metal to rock alternative. I am diverse in most of my music choices. I also like classical music. The symphony as well. I am glad that I like most music. Some people think a person who likes opera or classical wouldn't like heavy metal. I also like country. I even like Bob Marley. It is good to know that their is someone out there who likes most music. My husband is the same way. I even like raygay (if I spelled it right) I thought there wasn't a music out there that my son likes he is 12 that I don't like he is diverse in music. But he likes some top 40 as well as some rap I think. It is unbelieveable that I can say that I don't like some music that he does. He says opera hurts his ears. I have a cousin that sings opera. She is a music major. She is in graduate studies of opera. Hope this lets you know that there is someone out there like you!!!
