It didn't technically "jump the shark". They felt that it was time to end things.

There were some story lines that were getting pretty ridicules as well. I liked the Joey and Rachel thing more than the Ross and Rachel thing. Didn't like them together at all.

I thought that the whole thing with the adoption story was unnecessary and how they had the birth mother seem so dumb.

I thought that the whole Phebe and Mike thing was getting ridicules, until their wedding, that is, it had been.

Sorry in someways that the series is over, but not in other ways.

Friends has never jumped the shark but season 10 was more easy, light humour rather than the stronger episodes like The One Where Everybody Finds Out about Monica and Chandler and others in the middle of the series. Friends was a great sitcom, and they wisely put out the bright lights before it all became too much.

They never jumped the shark. They just priced themselves out of the ocean. Six million dollars an episode is a lot compared to other shows and that doesn't include the costs of the writers or the staff or the sets and props.

Friends never really jumped the shark. They got close in the last season with Ross and the black woman, but I never felt they did a full leap

The creators of Friends were smart enough to end the show before it jumped the shark and became a disappointment. Although it was sad to see it end, they made a smart move.

It didn't happen, but they referred to it, I think, to Happy Days when Fonzie jumped the shark.

I do know that Phoebe's doctor who delivered her triplets had a thing about Fonzie. Maybe it was that episode.

They paid tribute to Laverne and Shirley, by having them on TV in Spanish, and Three's Company, when Chandler explains his complicated plan to pursue a woman, and Ross says "Okay, I forget, what do I say when Mr. Roper calls?"

I never liked Joey and Rachel together. But to me Emma was a much bigger crappy storyline. Dumb. Nothing about Rachel said mother.
