don't you think women are being a little selfish then? when i hear that, i'm thinking "hmmm....what should they go through...a death or pregnancy?" besides, i don't think women know that there is post-abortion stress

In the case of rape, if a lady has an abortion, it adds to the stress. And I know there is a lot of killing going on in wars and such, and I would never kill someone, but did you know that 1/67 deaths in the WORLD is an AMERICAN abortion, and 1/4 deaths in AMERICA is an American abortion. As for wars: "The D-Day invasion of France (WWII) was the bloodiest in history. There were 53,714 allied soldiers killed in the 'Battle of Normandy.' Yet, our world kills more people than that in just 9 hours through abortions."

In response to Aussies-Online:
Don't you at least think it is kinda not fair to the unborn babies for us to think that there are "too many people"?
Also, just because it's our body doesnt mean we have control of what happens to the life inside a pregnant woman.
And YES, there IS enough misery in this world than to create more through abortions. The US Constitution promises three things:
1. life
2. liberty
3. pursuit of happiness
The babies are promised life. I know soldiers are killed, but their moms did not kill them. Also, the mothers should get the pursuit of happiness, but they cannot get it through getting rid of the person inside them, because he or she gets life.
How much more "screwed up" would the woman's life be when she has an abortion! (I know I keep saying this, but it has to be said) The only benefits reaped through an abortion are that a woman doesn't have a baby to help her cope with the stress so actually she is being cheated of happiness when having an abortion.

Left of Center:
I understand that you are upset about this. I know you may not understand when I am saying this, but here it goes:
I am looking after the state of mind of the women. Women do have choices, but is it really right to have the choice to kill someone? (I don't want to start an argument about wars, btw)
Here's an analogy for an acorn vs. tree.
"The oak acorn is by nature, oak since it has oak DNA. Likewise, a fully developed oak tree is also by nature oak, since it has oak DNA. The difference is that one is fully developed and the other is not. The same goes with the life in the womb of the mother as compared to a full grown adult. A baby is not an adult. But both have the nature of human."

God gives free will for us to choose, yes; would you choose Heaven or Hell?
"Choice is nothing apart from the context to which it is applied. Individual choices are either recognized or restricted based upon the circumstances at hand. That's how our laws work. You simply cannot talk about choice in isolation."
"Furthermore,in almost 99% of all U.S. abortions, the woman having the abortion chose to have sexual intercourse in the first place. Therefore,it could just as easily be argued that these women already made their choice when they chose to engage in behavior that often leads to pregnancy.Ultimately, restricting a woman's right to abortion does not restrict a woman's right to not be pregnant.Abortion, after all, does not keep a woman from being pregnant.Abstinence does that.Abortion simply ends the pregnancy of an already pregnant woman by killing the embryo or fetus living within her."

You, me, Abort73, and others all try to point this out, but people are too wraped up in their own little world to realize that abortion is not about THEM! It's about an innocent human being who has the same rights as anyone else! They have to go through a pregnancy, and then can give the baby up for adoption to the thousands who long to adopt a child. Or, they can go through with the abortion, and live with the guilt the rest of their lives.
As to your question,
I don't think anyone thinks abortion is right. They make excuses to ease their consciences. They'll say: "I'll never have an abortion, but I want to keep it legal so others can..."
"It's a woman's choice..." A woman's choice to kill another human being!?? How messed up is that?
The best thing we can do is spread the truth (like you are doing!!!) and PRAY!
God Bless you! Keep up the good work! I truly believe God will reward anyone who is an advocate for these innocents.

My personal take on it is that it is wrong in every way. That's not to say I don't see the other sides point on a few things. If it is to save the life other mother, then I suppose it could be considered justified, but not in any other way. If a girl has been a victum of rape or such a thing, she always has the option of adoption. Yes she may not want to carry the baby to term and it has nothing to do with a choice she made, but the baby didn't have any say in it either. It's not the childs fault that some guy did that. I also look at it from the view point, what if that innocent child could have been the next great president or the one person to finally find a cure for cancer or some thing like that? By taking away their right to live, you take away something great from the world and you not only affect your life, but everyone that would have known that child. Just my take on it, take it or leave it.

Personally I don't believe abortion is ALWAYS right, neither do I believe it is ALWAYS wrong.
I believe that abortion shouldn't be used simply as a means of birth control. I believe that in cases of rape and incest, when the health of the mother is in jeapordy, that it is quite justified.
Likewise, I don't believe that MY views should be held by EVERYONE.
Abortion is a moral issue, and morals are different for everyone. Not everyone has the same definition of when HUMAN life occurs during pregnancy. Some define it as the moment that fertilization takes place. Some define it as when a brain has developed. Some define it as when the fetus could live outside the womb.
With many different definitions, with the realization that the vast majority of fertilized eggs are aborted spontaneously, most when the mother never knew herself to be pregnant, and the multitude of religious beliefs, impozing the beleifs of a single group of people on the vast majority of society is wrong.
To combat abortion, if that is your desire, teach your children. Teach your church. make another emotional web site. Attemtps at making it illegal won't work, and serve only to increase the acrimony between both sides.
Another point is this: demonizing this practice has had a very real effect. Bombings, killings, slander and slurs really make the anti-abortion activists look bad. Try not to stoop to that.

This is such a touchy subject. I have heard both sides of the story and still do not have an opinion. I think one of the good reasons would be that a babies brain is not developed or functioning until sometime during the first couple weeks so who's to say the baby is actually alive. Now the whole potential to life argument is not a good one because then masturbation is killing millions. I think abortion can actually save lives because babies can ruin lives.

I don`t know if anyone truly believes its right. Theres a life in the balance.Thats a question that only someone who is has to make that joice can answer. It`s a very serious thing.I`m glad I never had to make that joice.I know that there are lots of reasons that this might enter someones life.Such as rape, sickness etc... I`m not that persons judge. My advice would be to pray and do a lot of soul searching.

It's not that people think it's right, people just believe that women should have a choice.
Plus, those people aren't easily influenced by propaganda.
People who are misinformed/don't take the time to do actual research deserve what they get. Don't YOU think it's a little selfish for you to try to FORCE others to conform to YOUR beliefs?
I would never get an abortion but that doesn't mean that I'm going to make everyone else follow suit.
Oh yeah, stuff from a BIBLE based site is totally full of facts and is not one sided.

So 42 million abortions from 1973 - 2002. Lets say for giggles every year has the same amount of abortions. That would be about a million kids going into foster care a year. Does that sound better for you? Our country turning into Africa where parents just drop their kids off at the orphanage, you know if there happens to be room in the orphanage. Little to no chance of ever being adopted.

Some people don't define something that hasn't been born as being alive. Personally, and I don't mean to offend anyone this is just how I think, I think that only an immoral idiot could possibly say whether it was right or wrong. I think that I would have the baby, luckily being a guy I will never have to test that theory.

It's a right to free will which God gives.
God judges.
You do what's right for you, I do what's right for me, someone else does what's right for them.
When you or I start judging we start playing God. There cannot be two or three Gods, only one.
We all have to face various realities.
What is your view on capital punishment (the death penalty).
What is your view on Christians who shoot Abortion Doctors in their home while they are having breakfast with their family.
What is your view on Muslim Extremists invading our country and making people convert by force, would you defend yourself, would you kill a Muslim attacking you and forcing you to pray to Allah and give up Jesus or would you simply let them kill you.
You may have to face any or all of these choices one day and then you'll have exercise free will.
It is enevitable that we will face a land war with Islam who wants World Islam by force if necessary.
Given the choice of martyr death, fightening back and defending or converting which would you do.
You may have to make that choice one day in about 40 years.
You may not be able to avoid the choice.
What do you do!
What do you do when your 12 year old daughter is raped and made preganant. Make her see it through.
If you do, should could learn to hate you, Jesus, God, Christianity and grow up to be an atheist liberal. She could die in child birth. a 12/13 year old is not ready to bear young.
Every action has an equal reaction.
The real question is should Christians play God in God's absence.
People who seek abortions are already, as a rule, common Fornicators and are already in hot water with God.
Educating people to other options is wonderful.
Forcing people to accept envitablity is not Christian.
It would be like a Muslim forcing you to give up God and Jesus and swear allegiance to Allah.
When you twist someone's arm, you are as bad as the enemy.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
Equal time, however, can't be a bad thing.
If abortioin is wrong, so is the death penalty, so is war.
America has lost 200,000+ boys in war
We lose millions of people to auto accidents.
We lose millions of people to heart disease from fatty foods.
How far do we defend our policing of the world.
When you feed your family beef, you're giving them heart disease and slowly killing them. Do we ban beef.
This is a fact backed up by every health agency in the world.
When you drive a car, you put posions into the air, that babies and old people breath.
Do we ban cars.
I think we should.
If I had my way, God should not let anyone who drives a car on a regular basis into HEaven, for they are killing God's world.
I haven't owned a car in 35 years.
I walk.
5 miles a day.
Jesus said, go out with nothing in your pockets and walk from house to house and teach the word.
Jesus said love your enemy the most
Do you cling to the world of possesions and material things.
Jesus said don't try to pluck the cinder from your neighbors eye until you get rid of the one in your eye.
Now, get into your car, dump a ton of soot into God's air and help give little babies and old people emphasymea.
Then critise some Abortionists.
God is watching. Their fate is sealed. What is your fate!
God is watching. There is a book of life. Care less about others and more about yourself.
The life you save may be yours.
Let God deal the everyone else. That's his job.
Your job is to take care of yourself and live a life Jesus would be proud of.
