I don't know if it should be rebuilt the way it was. Not to be cold or anything but what I am trying to say is. Is it really smart to rebuild that city the way it was? I mean the city is a disaster waiting to happen. Perhaps some of those neighborhoods would be better returned to their natural state. I am all in favor of building and development, but rebuilding there does not make sense. I say ask the government to declare eminent domain, and make the area a park or something. Oh and notyou311 NO area has LOTS OF OIL!

I think you have a great idea... stop the useless war where our bravest die every single day, may god protect them and bring them all home safely.... New Orleans should have been rebuilt long time ago... i really don't understand why it has not yet... it's not excusable... so many lost their homes and most importantly their loved ones, the least our government could do is to rebuild the beautiful city that suffered so much... when we see disasters happen in the rest of the world, you never think it could happen to you or in your country... it did and it is about time to step up and bring back New Orleans the way it was before Katrina stroke...

Dubya should have done that the day New Orleans was struck! It would have done the people of New Orleans a whole lot of good and would have saved the lives of about 2000 US Soldiers.

If any of you guys remember the first Gulf War, we didn't finish the job. We left and guess what, we had to go back 12 years later. If we leave the war now with out finishing the job, we will be back again. I'm here in Iraq now and we all are proud of finishing the job. But i do agree that N.O. did get the shaft about not getting the help they needed.

I'm not sure we can really "stop" the war at this point, however, I think we as a society should do what we can for Louisiana and Mississippi (not just New Orleans) and the survivors of Katrina.

Brilliant idea. Right now the new government needs to be encouraged with great ideas from people like you. The voters have spoken and now they need to contribute as well. Write to your congressmen, because they are on the right track, but unfortunately, the Neocons are trying to inject confusion and hate again.

Before they get off the ground, get involved and attend your town's meetings. At the very least find the legislative office in your state via google send the new leaders your bright ideas.

By all means rebuild New Orleans... somewhere above sea level this time!!!

Hey didn't you hear... the Democrats have control again... everything will suddenly be all right, we will cut and run in Iraq, they will regroup and hit us 10 times harder next time.

The last election was a victory for our enemies as well as the Democrats.

I think that radical Islamic fascists who would readily wipe out every American city being fought and defeated in Iraq and everywhere else is far more important than rebuilding a city that hardly anyone would return to.

Rebuilding New Orleans is seriously disturbing; it is only a matter of time before another hurricane hits it, then how many more lives would have been lost? How much more property damage done?

It was ridiculous to build that city there in the first place (thank the french), and now we are talking about rebuilding it? Come on!

No. If we stop fighting, the bad guys won't. We don't have a choice. As for NO, it would be stupid to rebuild it where it was, below sea level that near the coast in hurricane alley.
