You're very underweight, go eat something, like an entire cow.

I'm about your height and 110 pounds and some people have asked ME if I starved myself.

Hi...
They are asking you because there is just too much TV coverage about this subject these days and "anorexic" is now their new buzz word of the week. They see a week's worth of stories about hollywood stars on tv...all sensationalized and without perspective like usual...and their (those who ask you) wild imaginations start taking off in all kinds of crazy directions. It's imaturity on their part. But what can you do? They, like you, are all young. And with their lack of understanding of this condition, they act all concerned and caring...like they worry about you. See? This is what those stupid entertainment tv shows do to people. Too many people subscribe to these stupid shows and all their sensationalism. And you unfortunately become the victim.

When I was 13, I weighed a 100 lbs. Not my proudest moment. I was 5 ft something..can't remember. And I'm a guy. So it's all the same. Whatever you do, don't start eating more to compensate. Stay active and keep doing what you're doing. At some point your metabolism will slow down and you will wish you were like you are now. Just be proud you're not fat. And when people around you ask you dumb questions that make no sense, don't get upset. Just put it into perspective and ask them how they became an expert about you all of a suddden?

Suppose you're 5'4". If you weigh 92 lbs, your Body Mass Index is 15.8. To be healthy it should 19 to 24. I grew up incredibly skinny regardless of how much I ate, so I understand. If you try swimming, it is good for your heart and your health but also makes you really hungry. Make sure you're taking a vitamin. As far as the guys, they may actually care about you, especially your best friend. If you're doing all you can and being honest you just have a crazy-fast metabolism, something you'll miss later in life. Good luck young lady.

Dony worry i am on the same page as you. Many poeple ask me that just cuz i have a really fit body. The main turn off is that i have small wrists (you can fit your thumb and pinky around it and they will touch). I hate it cuz it makes people get a bad idea about me. And the suckiest part about it is that small wrist run in my family and when i tell them this they dont believe me. So finally i just told them that i was perfectly fine, that nothing was wrong, and they could quit with the comments. If they are true friends they will stop. As for the guy friend i'd just make a joke out of it or take him to lunch. Once they see us "anorexic" people eat all questions will crease. Good Luck!

If you know you are not starving yourself then all those others can kiss your tiny athletic butt, my sister has your same problem, she is perfectly healthy, her metabolism just works super fast. The same thing that goes for some of us where our metabolism works a bit slower so no matter WHAT we eat and how much we eat it seems almost impossible to lose weight can go for others ,just in reverse .Look at it this way, my sister is 5'5" and weighs 104lbs , she eats ALOT. She has to or else she'll get really sick, she works with some others who are about the same height and weigh about 169lbs. They WERE the cute little things in high school that made fun of girls like her, now they just about die from jealousy when they see her down a large milkshake from Jack in the Box. Tee Hee, revenge can be sweet and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

This happens to me, I'm a dancer too and I eat EVERYTHING! I'm 14, 5'3" and 100 lbs. People used to ask me if i had an eating disorder too, but i checked at Seventeen.com. They have a BMI calculator I checked and your BMI is 16.295 which for a 13 year old is healthy. If you want to go there- search in google for Seventeen, when there go to health and then BMI calculator.
or just click the link below
Hope I could help : )

The guy is probably insecure. There is nothing wrong with your weight whatsoever- be glad that you're not some fatty. I was a pretty thin young man as well. When you get older your metabolism will slow down and you will gain some weight. Most of the folks who are stockier as children will end up obese adults.

are you braggin or complaining? so many people are so used to seeing fat people, they freak out when they see someone who has a high metabolisim and is skinny. I was a skinny kid growing up, eating disorders were not a big thing then, not too many people were aware or into it. But I did get made fun of for being thin, bones, skinny minny, sticks, bean pole, twiggy, names like that. At least it wasn't two-ton tessie, or tub of lard, pig, fatso, fatty, whale bait or all the other nasty things people used to call my sister.

You could be going through a growth spurt but 92 pounds is very light. You might want to see your doctor about this if you don't gain more soon. This could cause problems later on in life such as osteoperosis at a young age.

Some people just have a high metabolism. The sad thing is people say hurtful things and there just really isn't an easy way to get away from it.

Personally I would suggest talking to the person, because chances are they are concerned about you (I assume they aren't picking and name calling) and thank them for their concern but assure them you are not anorexic.

Talking things out usually helps a lot.

For you to be 5'4 and only 92 seems really unhealthy maybe thats why I mean some girls are just naturally thin. I am 5'6 160lbs I have my curves but Im not far girls are diffents sizes and different guys like different size girls.
