Pink Floyd has many words of wisdom in their music and sends a message?

Like "The Wall", or "Brain Salad Surgery" doing a parallel on a study for music therapy and need opinions on the works of Pink Floyd and what message you get from for instance "all we are is just another brick in the wall". And "teacher leave those kids alone". " Or " Do you want to be an angel do you want to be a star? Do you want to be the magic on my guitar? Do you want to be the pillow where I lay my head? You could be anything. But it really doesnt matter for it all gets so intent, and from my experience, it just doesnt seem to make sense, But still you turn me on" Can you wrap your mind around those statements?
And get a philosophy of your own in your own like or world?

"Welcome to the Machine". Was that to predict the future of today?

just wondering have you seen the wizard of oz ?
they have released it again but there is no script the pink floyd album "dark side of the moon" is playing through it, its all in sync.

for example: when they meet the tin man on the yellow brick road the song they play is: "dark side of the moon"
and when dorathey enters munchking land the song they play is:" money" ect......
also "wish you were here" and "blade runner" were syncranised.

its really amazing i diffenatly think you should look it up and watch it.

My personal fave: Comfortably Numb

I went through several years of a deep, agonizing depression while I came to terms with some difficulties from my childhood...

Everytime I heard the Comfortably Numb lyrics, I so identified with many of the words.

"You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying.
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb."

I also love the song, "Wish You Were Here." The lyrics are great, but I also just love the sound of the music.

Blue skys from pain.

From a cold steel rail?

And did they get you to trade

purple Floyd. There are extra instrumental layers. The music is extra surreal (and that i will wander away in it). Nirvana is great yet could nicely be depressing. i do no longer think of i might prefer to be caught with that if I have been abandoned on an island. And we could face it; Nirvana is distinctly one dimensional.

since you can see the messages in floyd.....take that knowlege and look at the world around you and apply them and you'll see more that is around you than you did before.

then welcome yourself to the few but growing mass that see's the truth, the new world order, the "just a brick in a wall" theory, etc.

it helps if you play the wall side 2 then side 1 as that is how its suppose to be played.

I don't quite understand them; I just enjoy their psycadelic music and the abstract lyrics that go along. I think some of their songs were politically motivated, though.

Pink Floyd were not wise, they were stoned. Some of the worst crap to infiltrate main stream music ever.
