Even though Harvard has a long football tradition, the schools' emphasis is still on academics. Varsity football is still looked upon as somewhat of an extracurricular activity. In addition, academic requirements for entrance to Harvard are so stringent that most of the top high school athletes are denied entrance.

absolutely not, fist of all they are div 1aa in almost every instance when a div 1 team plays a div 1a team they get destroyed ohio state would beat harvard by at least 40. its a simple matter of where the best HS players go, they go to the best football schools, so ohio state has an inherent advantage, secondly div 1a can scholarship 90 some players whereas 1aa can only scholarship 60 or so.

They don't play the teams that sports writers consider the best teams, so it is hard to see how you can think they are the best.
