To download videos from YouTube and any other site :
Get Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
And then install the Download Helper extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3006/ or this one Video Downloader https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390
It works great for me.
Since the videos are in the .flv format you need to get a flv player. You can get a very good one (and completely free ) here http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10505954.html?tag=tab_pub
If you want to convert them into another format ( mobile phone, iPods, mp4...and anything else) use this awesome free program called Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

I Use Bittorrent it's a torrent client that will download movies and otheer stuff including games and music
To get Bittorrent go to www.bittorrent.com (Might be www.bitorrent.com)
To get torrents go to www.thepiratebay.com or www.torrentz.com
The reason there isnt a site were you can download videos directly is because it is illegal and technically torrents arent direct movie downloads hope that helps!

for movies, bittorrent is the best. go to www.bittorrent.com to download the bittorrent client software, then to find anything like movies, just google the name of the movie with the word "torrent" and you'll find it. or go to a site like www.isohunt.com.
i'd stay away from p2p clients on the gnutella network like limewire or bearshare. lots of trojan horse/viruses and other malware, though you can have occasional luck. gnutella network is good for finding mp3s.
