before pregnancy i suffered from migraines and because of my pregnancy the migraines became WORSE. I would have to sit in the dark for at least 2 days to fully ger rid of it with an ice pack on my head....

I spoke to my doctor and she actaully suggested driking a cup of pepsi/coke because of the Caffeine(she said asprin contains Caffeine as well)..it DIDN't work...

my only alternative (in order to actually make it to work and be able to function) was

I cut an excedrine in half and took a sip of soda with it...(only did this twice)

that REALLY HELPED.....

No harm to my baby, shes perfect !

hope you can find some comfort! i know it's hard!

I dealt with recurring migraines during my pregnancy and, unfortunately, there wasn't much I could do about it. I made sure to stay hydrated, took Sudafed to keep my sinuses clear (one of my "triggers") and took a lot of hot showers to ease the pressure at the base of my head. I did take Tylenol, but it really didn't seem to do much for me.

Unfortunately, hormones are a common migraine trigger for women... and hormones are out of control during pregnancy. Most doctors are reluctant to prescribe anything because of the potential for birth defects, but there are some medications that can help. Ask your doctor if he/she can prescribe something for you.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Well if they get really bad you can take Tylenol, My midwife gave me a list of safe medications and that was on there. If you don't want to take medication or anything then try rubbing the bottom of your palm, using a lot of pressure that works well.

They say Acupuncture really works for migraines. My aunt had the same problem, and then one of her girlfriends told her about Acupuncture and it really helped her! Good luck :) Hope you feel better!
