I would assume judging from their music that they are making a statement about the current war between the US and Iraq. It makes some clear referrences to it if you read the lyrics from the link below. I think BYOB is a satirical way of saying people go to Iraq all pumped up and don't have much of an idea of what war really entails. I know a few people that think the war is about "freedoms" but look at all the deaths, if that's freedom...I don't know if I'd prefer it.

bring your own bombs. It's an anti-war song. Why don't presidents fight the wars? Why do they always send the poor? I don't know the answer to their question, but I think the presidents should send itiots like them to fight, and then they wouldn't be spreading their political views all over the freakin' world.

They're saying that war is unfair, not needed, and ridiculously glorified:

"Why do they always send the poor?"

"You depend on our protection
Yet you feed us lies from the tablecloth"

"Everybody is going to the party
Have a real good time
Dancing in the desert
Blowing up the sunshine"

"and we DON'T live in a fascist nation"

"Why don't presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why don't presidents fight the war?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why do they always send the poor?
Why do they always send the poor?"

"They always send the poor! "

The title itself is a play on "Bring Your Own Beer" because when you bring your own beer, you're going to a party but the party in the song is war and instead of beer, bombs are brought.

I love them their music actually has meaning.
