I was just curious as to what inspired her to live her life and do the paintings she did.

Who the hell is Frida Kahlo? I am sure she loved her talent and loved being able to share it with folks. People who admired her art probably brought a smile to her face.

Mexican culture, communism, Catholicism, indigenous Mexican religion and symbolism, her own ongoing health issues (lifelong, painful problems after she was involved in a terrible accident as a girl), her sense of personal mortality, her inability to have children, and her difficult relationship with her husband, Diego Rivera.
