For the most part i would say yes. However i am sure that there are some dresses that would work. Prom just after Christmas! i always thought those where close to grad time

I think a dress in a winter color like white, ivory, dark green, or burgundy would be just fine. I'd steer clear of bright Christmas red, which looks a little too obviously recycled. The idea of a winter prom is neat - you can wear velvet and brocade and other rich and regal fabrics rather than the slinky, frilly spring prom stuff.

no its not tacky unless you wear a Xmas dress with a Christmas tree or anything that obviously looks like Xmas but maybe if you wear green or red or white it is fine but try to avoid really big and poofy because that looks Christmas so as long as its not totally Christmas like, its not tacky
hope this helps

I think that something a little Xmas-ish would be to bad as long as there isn't a tree or bells or something like that on it. but something with Christmas colors will be just fine

I don't think so but you might have to elaborate on what you're thinking... I mean if it's a bright red with white fur on it- it may be cute but definitely not for prom. But I do love a light cream with gold accents and I think that would be absulutely elegant to wear. :) Anyhow good luck and I hope you have a wonderful night and be careful.

Well, I wouldn't suggest a dress with a big Christmas tree on it, but "Christmas" colors can also just mean winter colors and I think it would be OK.

Yes especially if it's after Christmas is over. You could wear red or green but don't go over board.

We live in an era where people aren't afraid to make a statement anymore, go with what you feel like wearing. Think of how you want to be defined and go with that.

yes, very tacky. go with something sexy like a halter top dress or spighetti strap, if you have a good body, id go strapless.

Yes and years down the road you will cringe everytime you look at the picture. Just don't do it.
