All babys develop at their own pace. Some progress faster than others. It is a good sign, if you think that it is too soon. Sounds like she is very active and likes to sleep on her side instead of her back. I would not worry too much about it.

Both my babies were 6lbs and could roll on their sides and lift and turn their heads since birth. My husband's best friend is a pediatrician and when he saw my son lift and turn his head he was really impressed and said that was basically like an adult lifting their own weight! Skinny babies can move more because they are "lighter on their feet". But be careful with a strong baby like your daughter may have because they can throw themselves right out of your arms. I have never dropped them but I always have to warn family members to keep a firm grip and sure enough they have been surprised when my babies would arch their backs and almost flip onto the ground! Congrats on your new family member.

All baby's are different. I did not think it was possible but I learned the hard way. Because I had never heard any stories of this and me week hold baby rolled off the couch while i was grabbing a spit up rag i was devastated I rushed him to the hospital and i felt like i was a horrible mother(he was my 1st) But that 4 yrs ago and he is perfectly healthy. So from my experiences I would say yes its normal.

My son has jaundice, he's barely 10 days old yet is already eating 2 a million/2 oz..bottles of breastmilk. in the process the third week they pass with the aid of a improve spurt and returned at 6 weks then at 3 months and returned at 6 months. So for the duration of those cases he will probable consume much extra suitable than regularly occurring!

Not really normal , but not unheard of. I have also seen small preemies almost crawl out of isolets @ just a few weeks old. I work @ a children's hosp and people laugh@ me when I start obsessing about the side rails being up for some of the 1 month old or younger. i finaly just say I would hate for this to be the time they suprise us.

sure, it is possible for that to happen. Just make sure that someone is keeping an eye on her and since she is doing that now you may want to get the baby sleeping cushion, the kind that has the rolls on either side of the baby that keeps them from rolling in their sleep. Just so she doesn't roll over in her sleep and not be able to roll back over.

It is earlier than average but my parents told me I rolled over in the hospital when they went to weigh me. I had twin girls and they both were able to roll over within a few weeks of birth it is nothing to worry about smaller babies will often be able to do physical things sooner than average because they have less weight to lift when the roll over, sit up, crawl, and walk.

Not as far as I know. It's normally alittle while before they can do they. But every baby is different. My son was 3 weeks when he did it for the first time (he was 5lbs. & 4oz., also he was 1 month and a week early.)

Yes its normal. Watch her closely, she is probably curling up and that makes her roll to the side. If you want to stop her rolling you could swaddle her and use a mini pillow prop.

My newborn is doing that too. He is now a month old but when I brought him home from the hospital he started doing that. My doctor said that is fine and that he will grow and develop at his own pace. So relax and enjoy the little one! Congrats on your new addition.
