My face is not at all photogenic. I mean I look worse in picture. I am way better otherwise (no kidding). I mean my photos dont come out right and this really upsets me. I have dark hair and big brown eyes but nothing looks so good on photo. What can I do to look more photogenic or maybe just the way I am in photo? Thanks for any advice.

When going for that photo shoot, always wear more make-up than you normally would. Really play up your eyes with dramatic color and make sure to define your lips. Look in the mirror and experiment with angles and expressions. Everybody has a best side. Mine is my left, so I make certain to always sit with my left side facing forward. Use an excellent and highly experienced photographer. You may pay more, but the results will be worth it.

Highlighter is a girls best friend.. forehead, browbone, lightly down bridge of nose, chin.. Blend well, reflects light in a flattering way. Try practicing with a throwaway cam if you dont have digi.. sounds stupid but it can give you experience in how to smile, hold your face, angle your head to make a more flattering line. I'm the same way. Try taking pictures of yourself from different angles ( like off to the side, eyes lowered, slight smile). Try all kinds off things, then go through the pictures and select the pictures that you and your pose came out really well, then practice those poses, and when the time comes, you can look really well on camera. This worked for me, hope it workes for you!
