It may have been Troy Smith's worst performance, but if a qb's worst performance included over 500 yards offense-over 330 yards passing and 4 tds against the No.2 defense in the nation as well as the second ranked team in the nation I would say nobody else would come close to even being considered.
You might focus on a couple mistakes but the rest of us have seen the results over an 11 game span.

Being a Michigan fan, I hate to say it, but Troy Smith will win hands down. All he had to do was have a decent game against Michigan, and he destroyed. It's going to be,
1. Troy Smith
2. Brady Quinn
3. Steve Slaton
4. Mike Hart
5. Ray Rice

Troy Smith because he had a very successful season and his team is playing in the National Championship. Brady Quinn is the better QB by far. Chad Henne is going to be the favorite for next year I believe.

Troy Smith Unfortunately, because he is on a hyped up team that is undefeated, the person who deserves it is Brady Quinn or Steve Slaton, they have out performed Smith.

TROY SMITH..HE DIDN'T HAVE A POOR SHOWING AGAINST MICHIGAN . YOU FORGOT HE PLAY AND UNDEFEATED NO.2 TEAM THAT WAS SEPARATED IN THE BCS BY .200. TO PREVENT THE TWO POINT CONVERSION WAS A GIVEN . MICHIGAN SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT ON THE LAST TOUCHDOWN. SMITH USE THE WOLVERINES MISSTEP TO WIN THIS GAME. USC AND CAL was a referees nightmare. USC CArroll too chummy with the referees. I don't like that.
