Does anyone know how to get a guest on gears of war then go on xbox live and play?

I've seen it done so i know its possible, I tried to sign them in and enter a game but it says they need an xbox live connection.

If you are wanting to pay 4 on 4 multiplayer then you can start a game and then send them an invite or create a lobby and then send them an invite.

If you are wanting to play the Campaign with a friend, then one of you has to start the campaign mode and then send the other an invite. You'll join the game in progress.

(And playing campaign with a friend is GREAT fun!!)
