Ohhh yes... it takes courage and honestly to admit when your wrong and ask for forgiveness. Also when the other person isn't respective to you wanting to make amends can make it tough. I have lost a lot a sleep, me grieving over things I did what out thinking first of the conseqences. The secret is to not to let to much time pass before you try to make amends. And on the flip side... forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself... if someone comes to you and wants to make amend... accept it. It doesn't mean you have to pick where the relationship left off or saying it was okay what they did. Just letting them know you have moved and for them to do the same. This question got to me a little because of my own situation.

I have made many mistakes and said some pretty horrible things in the past, but No I don't think I would go back and change them, because if we never made any mistakes then how would we learn? Maybe I would take back some of the nasty things that I have said to people, but that's it. What would you change?

The trick is to learn from your past mistakes. You can correct some of the mistakes by apologizing, or you can learn and not repeat the mistakes.
It's the past, unless it haunts you. If so, try and make amends. Good luck.

Ya know, good question.. yes, I have but, then again, the most anyone can do is apologize and go forward. Mistakes are great learning tools for every persons future endeavors. Without mistakes we would not have the knowledge we do. LL>

Yeah. All the time I think that. But I guess things happen for a reason and it's not what the mistake WAS it's about what we LEARNED from the mistake.
What about you?

Yes but then I figure it's pointless to think of those things. It's better to think of what I can do now to amend those mistakes and proceed in doing so (most of the time).

If I could change some pasts mistakes I would, but not if it would change who I am or what I have now.

Yes, but then again it happened in the past so maybe it is better if they are left uncorrected

Yes I did. And I still do. It's like it's hunting me somehow. It wasn't that bad but it sure was stupid.

Yes, and it is not always possible, so if you can, take the opportunity to do so.
