I see your point. A lot of the new democrats coming into Congress are very conservative (for Democrats). I'd say that this was an election to move to the political center, a move away from the extremes.

Unlike "dude" I get it. You mean that some of the Republicans who lost were liberal Republicans like Chafee, Leach, and N. Johnson while some of the newly elected Democrats are conservative Democrats. Cute, but that it is far from the whole picture.

It is true that some of the Dems who won were centrists but the vast majority are still liberals and I am very happy about that.

not really... I found it EXTREMELY representative of America... I hope they will all come together and make America a better place...
and Pelosi still got speaker ... they can't be too conservative to vote for her... they just didn't want to look too radical with Murtha...
I really don't think you could call them "conservatives" exactly... but moderates, very much so... maybe one or two were "conservative"...

A lot of the new Democrats tend to be conservative and moderate Democrats.
It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

well thats one way of looking at it. But remember is may well be impacted by the agenda, Nancy is far from conservative.
My finding emphasises KARMA and not irony.
