i once did, and i was successful.
but i can sense if someone's faking it, i look at their pupils, and listen to the tone of their voices. oh and yes, their gestures. you can tell they're not surprised.

Yep. I used to be a terrible snoop at Christmastime. I found out I was getting a gorgeous ring and when I opened it on Christmas morning, no one ever had a clue that I had been on cloud nine for about two weeks LOL! Of course, I've been accused of being a drama queen before, so maybe that helps? ;)

I can totally fake it - but the real question is whether people believe it or not - i dunno, given that you can't really ast someone -'hey did i seem surprised, because i totally knew what was coming', that would kinda defeat the purpose of acting surpruse in the first place!
