what are some good side dishes to have on Thanksgiving? I know the everyday stuffing and gravy but what else is good.

all kinds of veggies, olives, mashed potatoes with a touch of rosemary and garlic with lots of butter, sweet potatoe french fries!

We always have Mashed Rutabagas, just peel & cut into cubes and boil in salted water in a saucepan until soft.
Mash with lots of butter.
Good stuff - New Jersey style!

mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potaoes or candied yams, green bean casserole or any other casserole. also you could go to a website like foodnetwork.com and find other recipes that you like! good luck!
