How do you make money on them? I wouldn't do that kind where you say something bad will happen if you don't follow through. I mean just a quarter to like 4 people. How would you do that so you can make money and others will too? I'm in so much debt from hospital bills and I've been racking my brain until I can think of something! Can you do them on the internet?

There are several types of chain letter, but all are illegal in the US. There are those that say 'send $1 to the person on the top of the list' - a little basic math would tell you that in the first month that letter would go to everyone in the world and they'd all be rich if the thing actually worked - it doesn't for some very obvious reasons.

Then there are the marketing pyramid schemes and the 'if you don't send a copy to five friends you'll die' scare letters. All a waste of time, and all illegal.

They're not illegal and you don't make money from them. It's superstition that bad things happen to those who break the chain.

yeah, free money with no work, thinking like that will not help you get out of debt. If you don't earn it, it will hold no value to you.
