I accidently put my hand through a window and lost a finger and had it re-attached. I had to have major surgery to put an artificial tendon in the finger and go through 6 months of therapy.

I don't know about giving birth but have seen it once. I wasn't there for the first kid, who went up for adoption. To this day, we don't know if I am the father or not. Since the kid went up for adoption, I fail to see the point of testing. She has not asked to meet her father. I didn't want the first child, so my wife put her up for adoption. She goes to see her once every two months and is like an aunt. I have met her twice.

Anyway, as far as pain goes, I would say breaking an ankle. It smashed to smithereens. I was on painkillers but my idea of killing pain is whiskey downed with honey and hot water. I cannot stomach black tea so I drink green tea and rosehip tea instead.

I had three surgeries to remove bone fragments and to reset and realign the bone. Fortunately, I won't have a limp but that is due to resting it and having a piece of metal put in. It feels quite strange like I am a cross between a piece of architecture and human flesh. It is okay, though. I have a walker and can drive, but I don't go out much.

Frozen joint in my leg. Couldn't stand on it, walk on it, sit on it or lay on it. It felt like someone was pulling the bone completely out and twisting it as it went. Lasted for 4 days without a break. Still hurts a little, 4 years later. Probably not much compared to having a baby, though! Those hurt for 21 years or so.

Being in a car accident that involved me getting thrown around the back of a pick-up truck with a camper. The truck rolled over about 3 times, meanwhile me and a few of my friends rolled inside of the car while banging every part of our bodies against the car and each other. Then having to crawl through broke shards of glass to get out through a window, and then laying on the hot concrete to try to catch up on all the breath that I lost. I couldn't breathe, could barely walk. Then I walked about a mile with one of my friends to get help for my other friends who were still in the car. It was, by far, the worst moment of my life.

I've never be pregnant, so I wouldn't know what childbirth feels like I am sure its very painful, but I would say for me was when I got into a car accident involving a semi, I broke all my ribs on the left side, collapsed the lung, damaged my kidney and fractured an ankle.

crushing your finger tips or other extremites. They contain the greatest cluster of nerves, but spinal injuries are the worst. Constant pain. If I was a female I would rather give birth and have it over with. I have constant pain but I have to deal with it until my vertibrea heal.

Well, one time, at band camp...

The worst pain I had was as a child. In those primitive days many dentists didn't use Novocaine for drilling and filling. I had a LOT of fillings done like that.

Delivering a baby! One of my children weighed 11 lbs 6 ounces, and I'm not a big girl! I also had no pain medication while I was in labor....It was hard! I also had to have my appendix out when I was pregnant with another one of my children, and that was painful because they could only give me low doses of main medication because I was pregnant, and they wanted it to have little effect on my baby girl. Needless to say, I'm done having children!

i havn't had a baby yet but non-physical i'd say waiting to hear anything from my best friend. i miss him so much.

physical-probably when i smashed my finger in the thick wooden front door and the metal piece on the side cut my finger open. my finger is now forever scarred with this big mis-formed lump. you can still see where the skin was cut.

I definatley agree! My first wasnt too bad but, my second was the worst pain and I never knew your body could tremble uncontrollably from labor pains! Terrible! But, worth it.
