The District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are possibilities.
It is also possible that there willbe fewer states in the future. If the federal government continues to carry out self destructive policies, people in some states may see a better future in being their own country, as happened in the Soviet Union in 1991.

Well, the way these Mexicans are hopping across the border, we might as well let their country become the 51st state.

I dont see why we wouldnt. I do know that there have been talks of making Porto Rico (I know I spelled that wrong) a state. Who knows? But yeah, I think we will eventually get up to even 60 at some point.

No way. Adding another state would make each senator & representative less powerful and they would have to approve it first. Plus, what would they do with the flag?

No. There's no more unclaimed land left on Earth. Maybe somewhere else in the Solar System.
