All religions seem to have a "heaven" or an idea of a "heaven".

The Buddhist religion believes in reincarnation (and 18 levels of hell). Their "heaven" is nirvana.

The Catholic religion believes that those who lived life well or repented from their sins go to "heaven" and those who don't go to hell.

The Christian religion seems to focus on good deeds will bring the person through the pearly gates. Hell is not stressed that heavily.

The Islamic religion also has a "heaven" for the men (?) I am not sure about women going there, but don't quote me on that one.

Most people who undergo surgery, when they are unconscious, see a tunnel and white light. Is heaven just a white light? No one really knows what heaven is like. I would hope that if I were to die today, I could finish my "life's" work in "heaven". Life is too short to do everything on earth. There must be a sequel or life part II of some sort. If there isn't, that would be disappointing, because I have so much to do in so little time.

To answer your question, when I find out, I will send you a dream message of the final answer...

Yes definitely! That's what this present life is all about..the trials, the testing, etc. to learn how we can keep improving ourselves, to answer to God, about how well we did on Earth, with what we learned thru our earthly life. The afterlife will be heaven, a place of joy and happiness, and everything we may not have had the first time around, here on planet Earth.
The Bible tells us about no pain or sorrow, etc. in the next life.
It also tells us that "heaven" may be something else, something different than some of us expect of heaven. I know we wont be just idly sitting around on clouds...There'll be much work to do, to restore Earth to the Paradise it was created to be. There will be many people to help, to show them how God wants us to live and to love, etc...
This answer is probably more info than you asked. for..aren't you glad you asked??? Anyway, I hope it answers your question!
God Bless you

As a retired mental health practitioner with 20+ years experience, I can say that your question is in the wrong category. If you rely on psychology, your answer is no, because there is no course on heaven and hell in psychology courses. If, however, you were to read your Christian Bible, where heaven and hell are critical elements of the matter of Salvation, you'd find the correct answer to your question. God Bless you.

IF YOU HAVE EVER READ THE BIBLE IT TELLS YOU THAT THERE IS A HEAVEN AND IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE NO DOUBT. IT ALSO STATES THERE IS A HELL FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT LIVE BY GOD'S WORD.

Depends on who you ask. If you find out before I do- let me know. I'm kinda curious about that- myself. :)

Yes. And that truth is not dependent on any "religion."
