Bachata is one of my favorite dances.....!!!!

it is hard to explain with words, you should watch some videos like smart Alex gave you....

it is danced close embrace usually, legs of partners mingle, knees a little bit bent, and you take along the music, 3 side steps to the left, and 3 side steps to the right, while usually the women at the 3rd step "shake" their hip up....

to add some spicies to the dance and not be monotonous, you can add some whirls at some point... the couple together as one body whirling around their axon, or make some turns you dance partner, or change the way you swing your body adjusting to the music patterns...

feel the music and let your creativity released.....

bachata is a very erotic dance.... and when I dance it with the man I love...I just feel I am in heaven!

Uh, bachata is done to bachata. Sorry, I don't mean to be argumentative, but bachata It is NOT like salsa. I teach salsa and I dance bachata a lot in the clubs. Salsa is generally a lot more complicated and more playful. Bachata is simpler and a lot more sexy. It's generally danced side to side. Salsa is danced forward and back.
