Absolutely. Alex Rodriguez has a no-trade clause, that he said he will use for ANY trade, because he wants to be a Yankee. Also, the Yankees have said that they are not looking for any trade. I mean, c'mon, look at his numbers and numbers alone. If a rookie had those numbers, he would be amazing, and you know you would agree, but you hate to say it. Compare his numbers this year with Silver slugger winner Joe Crede, I hate to say it, but Alex really does have MUCH better numbers. That award has NOTHING to do with fielding, off-the-field matters, and postseason. Why would they trade him, his salary? Since when is money an issue with the Yankees? They could increase their payroll by $100,000,000, and still be rich. So to answer your question:
Yes, A-Rod's job with the Yankees is secure.

Arod is underrated actually. Everyone thinks he sucks just because he had an off month (pretty awful) in 2006. He is one of the most important players on the team. He is secure, unless he is traded.

Yes, he is under contract and will get a fabulously huge $25 million paycheck this year. But it is conceivable that the Yankees would eat some of that to trade A-Rod to another team, ideally for a pitcher.

He has a full no trade cause. His job is pretty safe with the Yankees if he wants it to be.
They will not find anyone better to play, so as long as he is there, he is safe.
They may want to trade him for pitching, but he can stop that.

His job with the Yankees is as secure as he wants it to be. He has a no trade clause so they can't move him anywhere that he doesn't want to go.

If Alex Rodriguez starts to hit more in clutch situations it will be. Nevertheless it is not secure at the moment given his lack of clutch performace despite consistently hitting 40 home runs a year.

It is! His contract makes it too hard to trade him and he has said he wants to remain in new York. Cashman has said he wants him to stay as well.
But he is a great regular season player, usually, but in the post season he just falls again and again. Bat him 9th again!

For $25M a year, I would hope so.
I love the way he strikes out with the bases loaded and 2 out.
