obviously, there are no definite BEST games, as nintendo is still making games for the system
one also needs to wonder if you are asking which are the top sellers, or which are the most fun. people have different definitions of fun

Here a just a few of my personal favorites:
Zelda Windwaker, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tales of Symphonia, Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Sonic Games, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, The Sims, Kirby Air Ride, and Tony Hawk Underground 2.

At the moment there are a few TheSim games for the gamecube and the DS but not the wii, however nintendo has been working for awhile now on a new Sims for the wii and DS called MySims which is the same idea as the older sims but the characters are more like chibi characters from manga and anime

resident evil 4, super smash bros. meele, animal crossing, fire emblem, metal gear solid the twin snakes.
i think you might want to get a gameboy player for it. it well let you play old gameboy games
