it cant ruin ur eyelashes if you remove it majority of the time b4 u go to bed....but i do remember a story my mom told me about my aunt, her sister...she would use mascara everyday(like most pple), but never took it off at night and just kept applying over time every morning, and at one point her eyelashes fell out lol....now keep in mind this is like 20 years ago, so the ingredients im sure are somewhat different now lol....but even today it wouldnt be good to leave it on constantly, just be sure to use some makeup remover and you'll be fine....

Only the cheap mascara can cause temporary problems, and you should replace your mascara every three months to prevent bacteria from getting into your eyes.
If you remove the mascara at night (use a good makeup remover, not soap), it won't ruin your eyelashes.
Go with a quality brand like Revlon, NAO, or L'Oreal and you'll be fine (stay away from the waterproof ones, they're harder to get off).

idk about the whole "ruins your eyelashs" thing but those chemicals by your eyes probably aren't healthy. mascara almost always looks fake and cheap, go for a quick eyelash curler for the look your going for.
