Why do girls always travel in packs?

I mean, everytime I walk down the hall at school, I never, and I mean NEVER, see less than 3 girls together at once.

From a sociological stand point it could be for safety. I mean it appears that some male deviants may want to persist or harass some girls and quantity protects. Unless I know a woman whom will travel home late at night or walk to her car with another girl I will personally take her. Plus, it might be because they like to gossip!

We like to travel in packs like dogs. We are very much pack creatures. Gives us safety, comraderie and close friendship.
