Actually, I think that it's kind of a natural thing for people to do. We're hardwired to look up to the most successful people in our group, so that we emulate their behavior and become more successful ourselves. In our society, for better or worse, celebrities are viewed as the most successful, so they are the ones most people will look up to. It kind of says a lot about our values, and not a lot of good things, either, in my opinion. But the blame doesn't fall solely with the person in the grocery store line flipping through Entertainment Weekly. It's kind of everyone's fault.

This is a situation that has been blown completely out of control. All these people do is act. Film a movie. A sitcom. It's nothing more then a form of art. Yet some of them can't get enough publicity and they are the ones who deserve what they get.

I like to read it when I am bored. I do have a life though...it's just everywhere...it's a weird obsession. I mean, that's why Paris Hilton is so big....what does she do?
