First of all, the former European colonial powers are responsible for much of their situation, not North Americans. We have people on welfare, out of employment, on the streets, suffering from drug addiction, battered women, single mothers below the poverty line, the mentally ill and the disabled. We have gun violence, overpopulation in America, environmental issues, and other issues. We cannot save Africa from itself.
Maybe the U.N. and the EU should step in and actually do something for once. If we go in we are forcing Westernization and globalization on them, according to left-wing fanatics. Capitalism works better than communism and we can't introduce it. We can't introduce techonology for more efficient farming methods. We can't clean up the water and use ozonification to purify sea water and sell it to them. We can't start companies to create jobs. The left is happy when we help them and angry when we help them. They are for and against our leaving them alone. We are compassionate colonialists with a capitalist agenda that is both helpful and exploitative.
I say Africa must go its own way.
Since we have messed up Israel and the Middle East, we are responsible for that. The U.S. should leave Afghanistan and Iraq and start sending aid to help out the economic situation, since they helped to create it.

I'm suprised anyone is still alive over there. But what goes around comes around and right now the Islamic people are killing africans and taking their lands and herds but the table will be turned and someone may come in and kill them. when you take by force, it usually back fires on you.

More and more countries are helping Africa. This country continues to help and word goes out and more help comes. I surely hope Africa gets the help it needs and deserves.
