I have a six and half month old son who I think is allergic to his diapers. I was wondering how much money would going to a cloth diaper service cost?

I used a diaper service for both my sons, and it was wonderful, they said I didn't even need to shake or clean them, (but how could you not) But it was so cool, it cost me 28 dollars a month, but that was a few years ago, Not to mention!!!, the kids hate being that wet!!! and potty trained before a year old!, Most boys go to a year and a half!, I swear by cloth!! For boys, sink the cheerio's, is also a good tool! Seriously!
* disposable is always best for sitters and traveling.

I actually looked into it as my husband is a teacher/coach and we know what they get paid...or what they don't get paid. When we checked we learned you can save hundreds of dollars over the year, verses using disposable.

We have been able to manage and now that we are expecting #4 I can't imagine using cloth, mainly when going somewhere...but I think it can be a great alternative especially in your case! Look on-line you can get info. It is nice that they come to your house to get them and wash them and give new ones so it can be convenient and cost effective.

Ours was $12/week but check with ones in your area. It was great. We got a month of diaper service as a baby shower gift, but ultimately decided to wash our own because it was cheaper.

I just rinsed them and washed them myself. the only reason they used to send them out for service back in the day is because electric dryers were so expensive that households couldn't afford them, and to let them hang dry was impractical. It's really not that much more work to clean them yourself if you're already rinsing them and soaking them.
