For them to win the NFC west, it will be very hard. They not only have to win all the remaining games but also hope that all the other teams in their Division loses their games. Their offense is not a consistent one, even though Gore is running well. Their receiving corps are not that great if we take away two or three games from Bryant. Even if Alex Smith plays at a very high level, their defense can't stop opponent offense. Any team can pretty much run over them.So this year, the answer will be No.

No, I wish they could, 49ers are my team, they might be able to upset the Seahawks, and then take the Rams again next week. Then they have New Orleans, and 2 big upsets is alot to ask. Then they have Greenbay which they can win. Then the Seahawks, with Alexander and Hasselback back. Then Arizona which they can win. Then Denver which they just can't. I think they will end up 6 - 10 most likely. But if they get a big upset and end up beating STL it might be possible to get a playoff berth with the way the NFC is.

They're playing better than they have in several years, but I think the NFC West is still Seattle's to lose. Hasselbeck and Alexander will be back, possibly even tomorrow, and I don't see the Seahawks losing ground in the division once they return. The Niners could very well make this division competitive next year.

they could but they won't. to many things must happen before they could win. seahawks must fall apart and the 49er's must catch fire. but if the 49er's win this week it could be fun. but the hawks are almost healthy. and when they get healthy it's over for the rest of the teams in the west

No way, Seattle has a lock on the division. I have to give Mike Nolan credit for what he has done with this team.

I think they will come in second only behind by 2 games. We will beat stl. and ari. again and our defense is getting better. My prediction is 8-8.

i think they can...they are only two games away from being in 1st place and they play the seahawks 2morrow in san fran...the defense only gave up 1 touchdown in the last two games and frank gore is putting up solid numbers...
