Sure, why not?

Communism has never been tried in this world, but if you read marx's works, it's clear that it could be done. Some people think that you need more money for more motivation, however it is clear that police officers have some of the hardest jobs in the country, and they get payed crap for what they do. On the other hand CEOs, who do NOTHING for the community, get payed the best. Clearly, money does not equal motivation.
Also, it is said that communism stifles artistic creativity, yet I haven't heard a legitimate reason why it would.

Communism makes us all equal, because in the words of our founders we are all created equal. I know some right-wingers don't like the idea of sharing and helping each other out. Don't know why...

Communism can work but it will require an intense shock to the public Psyche. One of the defining conditions outlayed in the Communist Manifesto was that in order for communism to thrive, a complete total and abject failure of Capitalism as an Economic model was essential. There has to be an Economic impact strong enough to make people re-asses their priorities. To look after the whole or to look after one-self. It should be able to work in a long term way, unfortunately it will require something pretty insane to make this happen.

I think it did amongst the !Kung bushmen, but they didn't have much. As an experiment, an anthropologist gave one a knife, something much grander than they had ever owned. Others admired it and it was given away. When an argument seemed to be starting over it, it was left behind.

I understand things changed when they took to farming and left hunting and gathering, though.

I'm pretty sure Communism could not work in an industrialized society. You would have to change human nature.

Who do you know who would leave that knife behind?

where there are leaders there is a person tom target or blackmail into abusers
as long as leaders are leading any system will be corrupt
the bible reveals you will be led by children and this means schools self adminester via school district ,via p and c commities ,puttinng the choice before the cchildren to judge
these children will say yah or neigh in thier own class rooms ,go on field inspections ,ask questions in class for all aspects of thier schools zone
each school zone self adminers its own school district
in short communism is a system that has leaders
leaders are able to be corrupted
no system with leaders can work free from adult corruptions
children must lead us ,not old men.

No, it can never work because their isn't any competition in a communist system. People are basically paid by the communist govt. to not compete and without competition there's no incentive to work. In over 50 years of Chinese communist economic system the Chinese economy not only didn't progress it went backwards and caused poverty & famine like never seen in China (tens of millions died). But when China brought Capitalism (competition) back recently it became one of the economic powerhouses of the world & brought over 300 million people out of poverty and into the middle class.

Technically Communist systems have lasted, but aren't successful.

Marx's view of communism has always failed. People don't like being gov't owned slaves. And the communist govt's are always ripe with corruption.

China's system has worked since 1949. BUT, In the last decade it has taken steps to a more free enterprise system.

The failure of Communism everywhere it has been tried is because it does not take human nature into account. People act out of self interest. Communism demands that all people act out of the public best interest.

On paper Democracy and Communism are the only two forms of government that actually work, then you add humans... then the whole thing breaks down.

No communism is based on the false assumption that people are like insects. It depends on a hive mentality.

Probably not.

Karl Marx envisioned what we know as comunision as an intermediate stage to his vision. Even he did not think it woud last.
