Yes. It can be a reward or punishment for a deed or it could be to teach us a lesson.
I've been telling everybody that I've been skating on Thursdays for about a year now and I only fell once,last December. Last Thursday I felt great and had a feeling that something big was going to happen. Well, it did. I fell hard TWICE (somebody's wheel disintegrated and bits of urethane were scattered around the rink. Just like police stop sticks for roller skates)

Yes, but we may not understand the reason at the time. When bad things happen to good people, it is not a judgment against that person. Things happen to people everyday all over the world. Sometimes they happen at birth, during childhood, early adulthood, middle age, or old age--no one escapes. *hugs*

I've always believed that everything happens for a reason. We may not know why right away but, we will figure it out. Believing that has helped me through some tough times.

everything happens for a reason. i don't believe in coincidence. my whole life is an example of that-- things that i took for granted, things that i hated happening in the past, things that i thought were cool-- they all come to play today, making my life a collection of experinces that defines what i now do for a living: teaching.

yes, i do think things happen for a reason. i have this thought that God planned out the way people's lives are gonna be. God planned our lives out before we were even born, so if something happens, it's because God wanted it to happen that way.
i'm soley speaking for myself because i know there are athiest people out there and such, no means of disrespect though.

I believe everything good and bad happens for a reason cause what don't kil us only makes us stronger and where would we be if we didn't learn from lifes many lessons.

No. Bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people because good people believe in karma and try to do the right thing. While they are busy trying to make the world better, the crooked ones are reaping the benefits by taking it all away.
