It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. It's hellish hot during the summer. When it finally does rain, it usually floods. And there are a lot of homeless people.
As far as being a tourist destination, its great. Lots to do besides gambling...fun for the whole family.
Just be careful downtown (Fremont Street)..its actually a "bad" part of town right around there.
I guess my favorite things are: the pirate show at Treasure Island, the rollarcoasters (various places...New York, New York, MGM, Circus Circus are a few), & my fav casino is Slots-o-Fun.
Also one time we went to this marshmallow factory out past Boulder Highway. Kind of neat.
Oh the prostotution thing..not legal in Clark County (where Vegas is located). Have to go about 50 mi outside Vegas before you can find some of that!

Everything!! (remember, prostitution is not legal in Clark County, and Vegas is in Clark County) The best place in the country to people watch. More food than you could ever eat, great places to drink, and you can gamble on a budget if you are careful. Architecture is amazing. There are so many free attractions to see. Dont be taken by the crappy expensive traps (Cyote Ugly, Club 54, etc.) Get off the strip to downtown and the outlying areas. Be careful and have a good time

Las Vegas is my favorite place! It's just so much fun, there is so much to see and do 24 hours a day. It's exciting, larger than life, like nothing else I've ever seen. You can drink on the streets. It is sin city after all!
(BTW, prostitution is legal in other parts of Nevada but not in Las Vegas. Just for the record.)

For the most part, I hate Las Vegas. However, there is an endless supply of entertainment. Every day of the week there is something to do. If you like fun, you'll like it here. I love to wander the strip... Bellagio water show is great, The Wynn light show is great, The Venetian gondolas are fun... So much to do!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LAS VEGAS!!! I love the theme hotels, as well as the older ones (vintage Vegas), casinos, shopping, buffets, restaurants, and the fact that no matter what time of day or night it is, you can ALWAYS find something to do.
It's such an interesting city with so much history. It's amazing to see how it started and what it has evolved to.

Love Las Vegas absolutely!
It is a fantasy land.
Love everything about it....glamourous resorts n hotels,sexy shows,hip casinos,awesome crowd!
I am always dazzled everytime I visit!

I love staying in the Bellagio, going downtown to gamble, playing in the casino at Bellagio (won lots of money there last year). And the people watching anywhere on the strip or downtown is always fun.

i love las vegas! i especially like how the city is always alive, bright and noisy! with the 'dring dring dring' of the gambling machines, the huge tv screens outside, the lights everywhere! oh and i also love the buffets...... i could just eat about 20 servings in the mgm grand buffet..... = P
